Guardiola

Questo meraviglioso belvedere è situato fuori dal centro storico di Piraino, a 380 metri di altitudine, e offre una vista panoramica mozzafiato sul mare. Anticamente la Guardiola era un punto d’osservazione dotato di cannoni puntati verso il Mar Tirreno. Oggi la Guardiola è un punto di interesse paesaggistico che rimane uno dei luoghi più belli della Sicilia. La balconata a balaustre regala una vista spettacolare sulla costa e sulle Isole Eolie. Da qui potrete ammirare un tratto di litorale che va da Capo Milazzo alla Rocca di Cefalù con lo sfondo delle isole Eolie, e sentirvi piccoli di fronte alla grandezza del mare e del cielo.

In ancient times, the Guardiola was an observation point equipped with cannons pointed towards the Tyrrhenian Sea. Today, the Guardiola is a point of landscape interest that remains one of the most beautiful places in Sicily. The balustrade balcony offers a spectacular view of the coast and the Aeolian Islands. From here you can admire a stretch of coastline that goes from Capo Milazzo to Rocca di Cefalù with the background of the Aeolian Islands, and feel small in front of the greatness of the sea and sky.
